All-ages community art project: Sarah hosted three workshops with the Etna Community Organization - in February, March, and April 2023, where she worked with community members on creating glass mosaic sculptures to be installed at EcoPark in Etna, PA, in November 2023.
The sculptures are in the shape of walleye fish and are installed in the rain garden along Wilson Street, called “EcoPark”. These fish represent the health of the Pine Creek Watershed, which the EcoPark rain garden and all of Etna’s municipal green infrastructure projects work to protect!
Side note: The workshops took place at the newly opened Pop-up Workshop, which is at 343 Butler Street, right next to the Pop-up Library. The space will eventually turn into Etna’s own permanent Library!
